Shadow of the Ripper by Tom Schafer

Obsessed with the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Jack the Ripper became the name of horror in the late eighteen-hundreds. But were his brutal killings the act of a madman, or did they have a darker, unseen purpose? A teenage boy, Bobby Crowe, and Detective Kevin Daulton are about to find out, as the ghost of Jack the Ripper returns to haunt the rural town of Burgoon, Ohio.
